Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of the MathScroll iPhone app (“MathScroll”, “we” or “us”). The app is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). These terms add to the EULA; where the two conflict, the EULA wins. By using MathScroll, you agree to both.
MathScroll Pro
Locking apps with MathScroll requires MathScroll Pro. Pro is sold through the App Store as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The app shows the price, billing period and any trial before you buy. Prices can differ by country.
Subscriptions
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. If you start a free trial, payment is charged when the trial ends.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends, at the same price unless we tell you otherwise in advance.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or in MathScroll → Apps tab → MathScroll Pro. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- If you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Free trials and offers
- A free trial, if one is offered, turns into a paid subscription when it ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before then. Each Apple Account can use an introductory offer once.
- If you buy a subscription during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends.
- Limited-time offers, such as the new user offer, are available for the time shown in the app. We may change or end them at any time.
Lifetime
Lifetime is a single payment for Pro, with no renewals, for as long as we offer MathScroll on the App Store.
Refunds
Apple handles all payments, so Apple decides refunds. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How blocking works, and staying in control
- MathScroll locks apps using Apple’s Screen Time. You can stop it at any time: unlock an app in MathScroll → Apps tab → Blocked apps, remove MathScroll’s Screen Time access in iOS Settings, or delete the app.
- Locking runs only while Pro is active. If Pro ends, MathScroll removes its locks.
- Don’t lock apps you might need in an emergency, or for your safety, health or work.
- Screen Time is an Apple feature. Its behavior can change with iOS updates, and we can’t guarantee every lock works every time.
What MathScroll is and isn’t
MathScroll is a brain-training and self-control tool. It isn’t medical, psychological or educational advice, and we don’t promise any particular result.
Acceptable use
Don’t copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, or use it to break the law. These rules sit on top of the ones in Apple’s EULA.
Disclaimer and liability
MathScroll is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those in Apple’s EULA, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by apps being locked or unlocked. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.
Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant, we’ll also mention it in the app. If you keep using MathScroll after a change, you accept the new terms.
